The Jonas Brothers have cancelled their tour — two days before the trio were set to launch their 19-date trip. The decision to axe the tour seems to have been over differing artistic opinions, according to People Magazine.
“There is a deep rift within the band,” their spokesman, Jesse Derris, told the magazine. “There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”
An argument flared up between brothers Kevin (25), Joe (24) and Nick (21) this past weekend over direction of their music, says People, and which ultimately led to the cancelation of their tour.
Whether this “rift” was the reason for the Jonas Brothers pushing back the October release date of their album V remains to be seen. They did, however, release two singles over the summer, “Pom Poms” and “First Time,” and even hosted an album listening party in Toronto back in July.
The boys had been busy with their own projects before they decided to pick up the band again. Nick returned to his Broadway roots, he and Joe both released their own respective solo albums, while eldest brother Kevin starred in the popular reality television show, Married To Jonas, alongside his wife Danielle.
There is currently no word as to what the future holds for the Jonas Brothers.
As fans, we hope they patch things up soon because we can’t wait to see them back onstage together. They’re pretty magical on stage.
