Lea Michele sings a shaky but heartfelt version of the Adele ballad, “Make You Feel My Love,” in the Glee promo for next Thursday’s Cory Monteith tribute special.
It appears that Michele’s character, Rachel Berry, has made her way back home to Lima, Ohio for the occasion as she can be seen crying on Mr. Schue’s (Matthew Morrison) shoulder. Meanwhile, the other cast members surround a makeshift memorial for Cory Monteith’s character, Finn Hudson, in the halls of William McKinley High.
Released Thursday morning, the final coroner’s report said drug paraphernalia (including a spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle) was discovered nearby when the Canadian actor was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room in July. It was previously reported that the 31-year-old’s death was caused by a toxic mix of heroin and alcohol.
We have no doubts that the emotions in next Thursday’s Glee broadcast will be anything less than real. Monteith’s co-star Jane Lynch (who plays the tough Coach Sue Sylvester) looked close to tears when she paid tribute to the young actor at the Emmy Awards last month.
We’ll be tuning in to help say goodbye to Finn and Cory. Will you?
