Modern Day Parenting: How To Get Your Kids To Do Their Chores

Posted on September 25, 2013 by

This is both the smartest and scariest idea I’ve seen all day.

It seems like one clever parent has taken the household’s wifi hostage and the only way her kids can use it is by doing all the chores. I guess this is how modern day parenting works nowadays. Just hope yours don’t see this or say goodbye to the internet.

I kind of like this actually. It’s positive reinforcement (i.e., rewarding for a certain behavior), but at the same time a form of punishment for not listening/being lazy. It’s not going to spoil the kids into thinking if they do something they deserve a reward, and at the same time shows there are some consequences if you don’t get anything done.
