Miley Cyrus rises above all her naysayers as her new music video, “Wrecking Ball,” racks up over  19.3 million views in 24 hours setting a new VEVO record.

Was it the music video’s nudity or the song itself that won Miley the title? It’s hard to tell but it did help her take the record from One Direction whose music video, “Best Song Ever,” received 12.3 million views in a day.

“Wrecking Ball” is off of Miley’s upcoming record Bangerz (out October 8th). With an album name like that, the singer has recruited the best for her latest effort including super producer Pharrell Williams (who was behind Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and Daft Punk’s “Get Lucky”), will.i.am, Future and Mike Will.

With all those big names, there’s only one song we can’t wait to hear: “SMS (BANGERZ)” which features none other than Britney Spears. It’s like the reigning queen of pop music is anointing her predecessor and we can’t wait.
