Don’t you play with our emotions, Chris!
I know I’m not the only one who thinks a ‘N Sync reunion tour would be a fantastic idea, especially after their brief reunion at Sunday’s VMAs. Band member Chris Kirkpatrick told morning show Johnny’s House that while there are no plans for a tour anytime soon (boo!) it may not be entirely off the table (yay!).
“I’m not gonna say it’s never gonna happen,” he said. I believe it was Justin Beiber who said it best, “never say never” so we’re going to take that as a very soft yes.
He went on to tell the morning show that they haven’t really talked about going on tour again “except for Joey. Joey was the first one like, ‘OK, guys! Let’s go on tour now!’” Yes, let’s all listen to Joey. The man clearly knows what he’s talking about.
“Hypothetically, I mean, it takes weeks and weeks. It’s not just something you can just jump right back into…It takes a lot of work.” added Kirkpatrick. “And with everything we do, it wasn’t just, ‘Hey, let’s do it.’ We keep doing it until we’re happy with it and it’s right.”
Sigh. Well, thanks for giving us some sort of small glimmer of hope that a ‘N Sync tour is not entirely impossible. At least we don’t have to completely kiss our wishful thinking “Bye Bye Bye.” If the public’s collective reaction to Sunday’s performance is any indication, it’s that fans “Want You Back.” But if you decide not to tour it’s okay. Really. Just know it will be “Tearin’ Up My Heart.”
Okay. I’m done now.
