The bucket hat. Some trends you wished they would just die and never come back, but the bucket hat has proven resilient.

You may wonder why a hat made famous by a bumbling buffoon on Gilligan’s Island could be so chic, but the hat stands the test of time for its versatility. Anyone can wear the bucket hat. You can dress it up or down, and it works across many different styles like sporty, preppy, urban, etc.

So why has the bucket hat come back? Blame it on the nineties fashion revival. The bucket hat was a huge fashion accessory in the early nineties among rappers and over the course of the decade, it evolved into a more preppy/summer Californian-style accessory. Flash forward to today, the bucket hat has been spotted on the runways of quite a few labels, including Rag & Bone, and has already been featured on the cover of Spanish Vogue.

What was considered geeky is cool once again.
