Everyone loves croissants and everyone loves Oreos, so why didn’t anyone invented “The Crookie,” a croissant with Double Stuffed Oreos, sooner?
Don’t you love when fattening foods are made even more fattening? It’s like double the fat content, double the epic taste.
Toronto based cafe Clafouti Patisserie et Cafe recently introduced the pastry cookie. Olivier Jansen-Reynaud, owner of Clafouti, described the cookie/pastry hybrid as “creamy and sweet, with the cream wrapping itself in the croissant dough and a crunchiness from the Oreo bits.”
While this looks unbelievably amazing, I can’t help but think something with this much butter and sugar is definitely heart attack in a bite. Tip, maybe split one between two people. Half the calories, half the sugar rush, and half the sickness. Maybe I’ll bring one in for the whole ANDPOP staff to share… [EDITOR'S NOTE: Yes, please!]
