Matthew Latkiewicz of You Will Not Believe is a Oakland, California based YouTube personality who has developed the series Star Wars Yoga. In honor of the 30th anniversary of Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, TIMES social media producer Allie Townsend sat in on one of the Star Wars Yoga classes. Of course, hilarity ensued.
Star Wars Yoga features a new body-relaxing yoga pose every week based on events, characters, and even vehicles from Star Wars. Latkiewicz gave Townsend a run down of a few standard Star Wars yoga poses, including the speeder bike, the half I am your father, and the TIE fighter.
While many may run away upon witnessing people practicing this certain brand of yoga in a public park, the pair got the attention of many who decided to join them.
Well, because you probably won’t hurt yourself, you might as well try this at home. Star Wars yoga seems exciting, fun, and a fandom experience. I wouldn’t be impartial to this becoming a thing.
