The Westboro Baptist Church Plans To Protest Outside One Direction’s Kansas City Concert

Posted on June 28, 2013 by

The nut job extremists known as the Westboro Baptist Church are planning to stage a protest outside of One Direction’s Kansas City, MO concert on July 19th. They wrote on their incredibly hateful website:

“WBC will picket this perverted pop boy band from the UK who claim to be the world’s #1 band.  Indeed, they are a perfect representation of this filthy world and the sin-chasing, fag-enabling, God-hating, Christ-rejecting UK who has banned WBC from preaching within her borders.  These freaks and their fans think it’s funny for these five perverts to grab each other’s asses on stage. They glamorize sin and make a mock of God’s standards. Their one purpose is to encourage the youth of this generation to pursue every lust their evil hearts can imagine. “

Claiming to adhere to the “teachings of the Bible” and as such are devoted to speaking out against sin (most notably, their staunch opposition to gay rights), members of the Kansas-based “church” are frequently seen protesting outside of military funerals and celebrity funerals.

Unfortunately, fans of good music may have to be start getting used to seeing the hate group picket at high-profile concerts. The WBC also plans to picket Taylor Swift’s August 3rd show in Kansas City, Mo.

Maybe One Direction and Taylor Swift fans should just glitter bomb those pesky protesters. I’m sure they won’t enjoy looking like disco balls or getting all the glitter out of their hair.
