“Started From The Bottom” – Drake

Have you ever wondered how Drake started his career? From the bottom, of course…or so he tells us in his brand new single “Started From The Bottom.” I don’t know about you, but I was definitely itching for some new Drake and he was kind enough to surprise us with a new single and message to his fans. The new track departs a little from his usual smooth crooning with a hard beat and strong rapping but damn, is it good.

“Doobie” – M.I.A.

Do you remember what you were doing back in 2007? Well, M.I.A. was busy recording this banging track with producer Danja. Danja went on to create hits with Britney Spears and Pink, and he and M.I.A.’s track lay forgotten until now. Since it was recorded five years ago, the track sounds like it would have fit right in with M.I.A.’s second album Kala. Either way, I’m glad it finally surfaced!

“Come Back” – The Lylas

Did you know that Bruno Mars has four sisters? And did you know all four women are models? And did you know they’re in their own girl band The Lylas? Apparently musical talent and good looks runs right through the Hernandez family. Check out The Lylas video for “Come Back,” which features the girls lamenting over their lost loves. But really I see right through their act…who would ever break up with them?

“Only You” – Cee Lo Green ft. Lauriana Mae

Were you wondering where Cee Lo Green ran off too after his brief stint on The Voice? He was busy recording a new track for his upcoming album with contemporary singer Lauriana Mae. “Only You” is a surprisingly sweet ballad about the one girl that can make Cee Lo happy with Mae lending her soulful voice to the mix.

“Happy Boy” – Gold Fields

Australian indie dance-rockers Gold Fields are the hottest new thing to come out of the land down under. With synth-soaked melodies, low vocals and dance-pop elements, their new track “Happy Boy” is the perfect track for a late night jam sesh. Check out their new debut album Black Sun out Feb. 26.
