Why do movie studios spend so much money on trailers for big, blockbusters when they can just make low budget teasers in a neighbour’s backyard? Okay, so the result of using a shaky camera phone and action figures instead of real actors is pretty shitty but then our expectations would be set so low that the movie would be AMAZING in comparison.
Think about it. The newest homemade trailer by DustFilmsOriginals is this two minute doozy for JJ Abram’s Star Trek: Into Darkness. Previously we saw a homemade trailer for Iron Man 3, though it wasn’t by the same creative forces.
Star Trek: Into Darkness comes out on May 17.
