Destiny’s Child is returning with a new single after an eight year hiatus.

WHAT?! My inner fangirl was screaming after I heard Justin Timberlake is returning to music and now it’s just wandering alone somewhere lost and confused because the excitement was just too much. What decade is it? Is this real? I’m sooo scared.

Their new track “Nuclear,” produced and co-written by Pharrell Williams, will appear on a Love Songs compilation, released on Jan. 29. According to Pitchfork, the album is a greatest hits style release featuring “romantic, passionate and sensual selections recorded between 1997 and 2004.”

Beyonce wrote on Facebook this afternoon: “I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny’s Child music in eight years!” She also made the announcement on her website.

The R&B group haven’t recorded together since their fifth albumDestiny Fulfilled, released in November 2004. Beyonce is also reportedly releasing a studio album in 2013, the first since her 2011 album, 4.

Are you more excited for Justin Timberlake or Destiny’s Child’s new music?
