Frank Ocean’s ambitious track “Pyramids” got an equally ambitious eight-minute cinematic music video to accompany it. The track, which is from Channel ORANGE, features John Mayer, who makes an appearance in the trippy, disjointed video.

Five key scenes:
Ocean starts off at the bar, downing four shots of absinthe in a row, before going cray and pulling out his gun.
After downing the psychoactive drug, his journey is a jumbled motorcycle ride through the desert. We’re totally like FRANK! How could you drink and drive? Tisk tisk.
Ocean heads to the strip club, where he walks around in a fevered daze, sometimes laughing manically.
John Mayer comes out of his hole of shame to make an appearance in Frank Ocean’s music video — but he’s not REALLY there. I mean, he’s just a hallucination Frank sees in his head while droning his life away at the strip club. So it’s okay…
Frank is suddenly in the middle of the desert again, his black suit jacket all dusty from the sand. He finally takes off in the direction of the almighty pyramid, far in the distance.
