For those who don’t know what “Geordie” means, it’s a regional nickname for a person from Tyneside in northeast England. You’re probably most acquainted with the term because of MTV’s Jersey Shore spin-off called Geordie Shore, on which characters talked about GTL, smushing and partying, but all in the most amazing accents ever.
Now a couple Geordies called May Arcade have graced us with their rendition of Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe.” I took a silent oath a few days ago to never post a Carly cover EVER AGAIN but that never seems to work for me. They included their own slang in the lyrics so at times it’s difficult to understand, but we love them!
