I’m happy to see that a good part of Ricky Gervais’ humour still comes from making fun of his friend Karl Pilkington. In his latest web series Learn English with Ricky Gervais he comedically teaches foreigners how to speak “proper English” by having a regular, subtitled conversation with Pilkington.
In episode one, they teach viewers completely useless but hilarious phrases like “he is bald” and “you smell.” They also have hypothetical conversations about drinking tea and waxing balls. Ricky asks Pilkington quite seriously in a scenario-based activity: “my balls are very hairy, can I have them waxed please?”
