Pomplamoose tastefully delayed their cover of the Batman theme song, originally by Danny Elfman, because of the tragedy in Aurora. Although they were going to scrap it altogether, they ultimately decided to release it for fans who were expecting it.
“One of the points of YouTube videos and the music that we listen to and all that stuff is to be a counter point to all the horrible things that happen in the world,” said Jack Conte, one half of the duo. “It was originally intended to be this fun, exciting minute of superhero insanity for Batman fans.”
The electronic cover starts off with Nataly Dawn’s eerie voice before delving into Pomplamoose’s trademark multi-instrumental sound.
