With all the comparisons between the two, we knew it was bound to happen, but we love it!
Growing up, I was a HUGE ‘N Sync fan (well mostly fangirling over Justin Timberlake) but either way, boy bands ruled the 90s and early 2000s. Nelly featured on the guy’s single, “Girlfriend,” with chill girls, choreographed dance moves and flashy cars. Fast-forward to the last few years and think of who’s been dominating the world with his ‘fever.’ It’s my new and everlasting love, Justin Bieber. When “Boyfriend” was released off his new album Believe, it made everyone come to terms that the little boy we all knew was actually growing up. I guess the cougars on the prowl snatched their tickets to his upcoming tour but hey, his fans are growing with him.
I don’t think there’s one negative thing to say about this mashup at all. YouTuber Raheemdaplayao4 commented on why he chose these songs in particular: “I genuinely wanted to mix these two songs because I knew they would go together so well.” I’m so glad he did cause this is going to be on repeat for the rest of the day!
