Badass driving in urban playground

Posted on July 9, 2012 by

Once in university, a friend was driving me home and stopped to do a few fast-paced donuts in an empty parking lot (don’t tell my law-abiding parents). It was pretty thrilling  though I’ll personally stick to the old 10-mile-an-hour three-point turn, thanks. I’ll leave the tricks to the professionals.

This video was shot in the actual streets of San Francisco, California, a.k.a one of the most hilly places to drive in the States. Ken Block treats the city like his own urban playground, doing epic stunts in the heart of the city. He also called on his friend Travis Pastrana to make a cameo on his dirtbike.

The Ben Conrad-directed video was filmed in four days for DC Shoes.

I wonder how much it cost to shut down the streets for that little display?

I wonder how many sets of tires he went through… and how much they would have cost if Pirelli wasn’t giving them to Ken…

This guy treats the roads of San Fran like I treat rainbow road in MarioKart DD.

Its kind of sad that Travis Pastrana, who is riding the dirtbike, is the only one in the movie who has won a rally season.
