Do you think Niall Horan’s comment to fans was playful or offensive?

Posted on July 6, 2012 by

One Direction’s Niall Horan arrived at Dublin’s airport Monday, where he was (obviously) greeted by tons of fans. I could only imagine the excitement and fan-girling going on amongst all the girls, but maybe Niall’s comment went a little too far.

As he passed through the group of girls he said to them: “Remember the last time I walked out here? You shower of c**ts!” Wait, did we hear that right? Celebs, let alone anyone these days should know that pretty much everyone owns a camera phone that can easily capture the moment. Being a teen heartthrob, millions of girls look up to you and can take anything you say completely literal.¬†After Niall’s comment, he seemed to be completely cheerful, happily wishing one of the girls a happy birthday on camera, followed by a thumbs up!

It wasn’t long before the video went viral and there was mixed feelings all over Twitter. Niall tweeted: “really sorry if I caused any offence. It was just banter with fans who I think of more as mates.” He also said in another tweet: “but I understand that it’s not a word I should be using at all.”

We want to hear from you directioners, do you take offence to Niall’s comment or do you think it was out of humour from a slang term?

I Don’t think he should have to apologize. I mean, most of the fan base is 13+ and talks like that, sometimes more, all the time! But I guess I understand why he had too. Haha everyone should know Niall’s humour is a bit ‘outrages’.
