Screw Disney World with their Tinker Bell dream-busters and slow-moving Dumbo rides. Instead go to a theme park where you’ll literally be RUNNING FOR YOUR LIFE and wondering if you’ll make it through the night without being turned into a zombie.
Entrepreneur Mark Siwak wants to create a live-action terror theme park called Z World in Detroit. The city has had a rough go at it lately, what with a busted auto-industry and tons of people abandoning the city. Instead of just leaving those buildings to rot, why not use their dilapidated facades for an authentic apocalyptic wasteland? I’m in.
The campaign is going around the indiegogo scene and has an informative business pitch. I think it’s an interesting idea but I wonder how they’d ever get past safety protocols (not to burst anyone’s bubble). So far, only $3,148 out of the $145,000. In theory, it sounds like it wouldn’t cost a lot of money but the amount it would cost to pay actors and maintain security would be insane.
In the meantime, watch the pitch below. What do you think of it?
