Four parody covers of LMFAO you have to see

Posted on June 27, 2012 by

We were all inspired by Noah’s bluesey and soulful version of LMFAO’s electronic track “Sexy and I Know It.” The 18-year-old managed to strip the song bare and take it to a new organic place. Unfortunately, we can’t all be as sexy as Noah — that’s when the parody covers come in.

Here are three hilarious covers of LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” and “Party Rock Anthem.”

“Sexy and I Know It” — Brett Domino Trio

Brett Domino and Steven Peavis cover LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It” using only a MicroKORG, Mini Kaoss Pad II, and Kaossilator II. I don’t really know what those things are but the track is hilarious. Brett sparkles in his glasses and completely buttoned-up collared shirt. Plus his accent adds an extra class and blasé attitude to the track, kind of like he’s singing the song for a Wes Anderson movie about a guy who wears dad jeans a pursues music in his basement.

“Gassy and I’m Bloated” — Eric Schwartz

This is a pretty unfortunate cover of “Sexy and I Know It” in which a RedFoo look-a-like (Eric Schwartz) sings about being gassy and bloated: “When I walk on by, fireworks go off like 4th July/ I try to be discreet, blame it on the dog, no it wasn’t me/ I’m so flammable, like the pilot light went out on the stove.” He also laments about the consequences of Panda Express food and bringing dates to the zoo or circus to prevent unforeseen “bubbles” as he calls them. Shudder, that’s not sexy.

“Potter Rock Anthem” — The Best Day Ever

The Best Day Ever created a Harry Potter version of “Party Rock Anthem” because life isn’t complete unless every single thing has been reinterpreted by Potterheads. They sing about getting drunk off Butterbeer and wild nights with Ginny.

“I’m Farming and I Grow It” — The Peterson Farm Bros

For the agricultural enthusiasts.
