In Kreayshawn’s new video for “Summertime” she wears cutoff jeans, retro sunnies and Twiggy-esque falsies, while bumming around a park’s lookout point and Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. The rapper looks like a local tourist, casually strolling through LA and posing in front of Roscoe’s House of Chicken Waffles while her friend records her on a 90s hipster VHS camera.
The song, which features V-Nasty and was produced by DJ Two Stacks, reminds me of those write-off summer days when you’re just chilling in your backyard on a sweltering summer day with friends.
According to her YouTube page the “official video” is coming soon (though this looks pretty legit to us) and her album Somethin’ Bout Kreay will be in stores on Aug. 14.
