Cringe! This reminds of that time a reporter sprayed water at Tom Cruise and then received a harsh lecture from the actor. Today, Will Smith slapped a Ukrainian reporter’s cheek and asked what his problem was after he tried to kiss the actor one too many times.
Maybe it’s a Ukrainian thing? Or a fanboy thing? According to TMZ the guy is a TV reporter who often kisses celebrities — it’s kind of his thing. But his mouth was a little too close for Will’s liking. While some YouTube commenters are saying his reaction was homophobic, I think he was just caught off guard by the greeting.
The actor kept his sense of humour afterwards and went right back into the scrums for the Moscow premiere of Men in Black 3. He joked with another reporter: “He’s lucky I didn’t sucker punch him.”
