In overblown news of the day, we give you Ashley Taylor who became a victim during her own news report after being attacked by a violent criminal pushed so an attention hog could be on live TV.
It all went down in Myrtle Beach when she was ironically reporting about a crackdown on crime. WMBF 11′s news reporter went on to report her dramatic story and even helped put the guy behind bars under a $1400 bail.
Sure, we wouldn’t like someone to push us and snatch something out of our hands but the whole report seems horribly sensationalized for a news agency that isn’t The Onion. During her report, she spoke with expert sources and police officers about her victimization and returned to the scene of the crime where he violently pushed her and shouted expletives at the camera.
One YouTube user aptly foresaw Taylor’s next report: “Later tonight, a gust of wind leaves Ashley Taylor in critical condition.”
