It’s official, Bobbi Kristina Brown is dating her adopted brother, Nick Gordon who lived with the family since age 12. The couple was seen kissing and holding hands on Monday in Georgia and on the same day Gordon addressed the rumours on Twitter.
Brown is inevitably going through a lot since the death of her mother, Whitney Houston. Although it’s a total WTF relationship for some people who wonder how they got past the brother/sister dynamic, Gordon was never formally adopted by the family and they’re not related in any way.
A source told E! News that the two met when they were younger. Gordon wanted to enlist with the armed forces to escape a troubled family situation. When Brown told her mom that she didn’t want Gordon to go through with his plans, Houston took him in.
Since the news broke, Gordon has been defending himself on Twitter, saying that Whitney is not his biological mom and that Whitney trusted him. Though some are claiming he’s dating her for the money, I don’t think that’s true.
Before you start judging their relationship you have to think, the two have known each other for a long time, but seemingly more as friends than siblings. No one can ever know the details of their relationship, so on the positive side Gordon is just another person to help her through this tough time, right?
