The verdict is in: the jury finds Conrad Murray, Michael’s personal physician, guilty of manslaughter, LA Times reports.
Playing out like a great episode of Law & Order, the jury (seven men, five women) spent two days deliberating after a four week long trial.
Murray, 58, faces a maximum four year sentence and the loss of his medical license. In a recorded interview with police that the jury watched, Murray admitted to giving the singer the propofol – which eventually lead to his death.
The late Michael’s sister, Latoya Jackson was heard shrieking “yes!” in the courtroom when the verdict came. At last, the remaining members of the Jackson family can find some peace and let Michael finally rest.
