‘Black Eyed Peas’ member will.i.am had to use his cell phone to remember lyrics on stage during a recent show in France, reports Pink Is The New Blog.
During a performance of the groups’ new single ‘Don’t Stop The Party,’ the singer/producer whipped out his blackberry and read his lyrics off of it. I mean, so ridiculous.
The group was performing a mash-up of Belgian rapper’s Stromae’s European smash “Alors On Dance” with “Don’t Stop The Party,” so I could see why he needed some help in the french department. But the funny thing is, as soon as the Stromae portion of the performance ended, will.i.am can still be seen clearly cheating around the one minute mark. He doesn’t even know his own song!
It’s not unheard of that artists use teleprompters when performing, but this single is over a year old and, to be frank, not that hard to remember.
