It was reported a couple weeks ago that Britney Spears has written a song called “Whiplash” for Selena Gomez’s upcoming album, which is set for release on June 28, according to Aceshowbiz.
Now, Perez Hilton has announced that Spears will be penning not one, but three songs for Gomez to add to her album’s track listing.
“The lyrics are like a drug, so catchy! It’s easy, fast and really sexy!” said producer Kevin Rudolf.
It’s really good to see Britney getting back in the writing scene, after all the backlash she received for not being a part of the writing process of her own album, Femme Fatale. Spears was even praised by songwriter Heather Bright for not making false song writing credits.
“She’s honest! And she treats her writers and producers with respect and dignity,” Heather said, according to Aceshowbiz. “In my experience, from a business standpoint, her entire team is nothing less than a bonafide class act! If I ever have another song that she wants and another artist happens to want the same song… Britney will get it EVERYTIME!”
Well this sounds like it could definitely be a great collaboration between two very dominant figures in Hollywood right now (although to two very different audiences). We can’t wait to see what comes out of it!
