According to MTV News, Bullock celebrated her MTV Generation Award with a kiss from Scarlett Johansson.
Accompanying Johansson and Bullock on stage was Betty White and Bradley Cooper. And of course, this kiss got Bullock a standing ovation from the rowdy crowd.
“Sandy, I know I’m not alone in saying I hope you know how loved you are,” Cooper said. “Both for your incredible talent and for being such a humble and effervescent woman.”
And Bullock deserved nothing less than to be honoured. Just this year, she has already received a Golden Globe as well as a pair of giant hits, including “The Proposal” and “Blind Side.”
“You are grace defined and I adore you madly,” White said, who got to know Bullock during the filming of “The Proposal.”
“Our sex scenes were cut from theatrical release,” White lamented. “But don’t worry, everyone can see them on the unrated DVD.”
Despite all of the love and chatter, Johansson preferred to just stay quiet. Maybe she was still holding a grudge over Bullock’s full-frontal scene in “The Proposal,” shared with Ryan Reynolds – Johansson’s husband.
And to top it all off, Bullock became the first-ever female recipient of the honour. She joins the likes of Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller and Mike Myers, just to name a few.
During her speech, Bullock said “no matter what you might have seen or heard or read lately, I love what I do. And I’m not going anywhere.”
