“Alice in Wonderland” is a money maker, making over $68 Million at the box office.
The Tim Burton film topped original box office expectations by the Disney executives. However one cannot be completely surprised by these results with people lining up for 11am screenings. Additionally there was strong support from British audiences which brought in $16.8 Million, even though the film almost wasn’t released in theatres there.
With the success of “Avatar”, it appears that 3D movies are the next generation of film telling, and audiences seem very excited.
