Glamour Magazine chose none other than fabulous Victoria Beckham to grace its March issue cover. Formerly known as “posh spice” of the Spice Girls, Beckham is now known for her staple sky-high heels, oversized shades, and her husband the international soccer stud, David Beckham. Although she may look glamorous on a day-to-day basis, Beckham insists that is not always an accurate portrayal.

People.com reported on Beckham’s exclusive interview with Glamour. “I love fashion, and that’s how I express myself,” she told Glamour. “When I dress a certain way and do my hair and make-up in a certain way, it’s not to get attention. I’m not a supermodel. I make the best of what I’ve got. I work out to look the best that I can, but I’m no Gisele.”

Beckham even admits that the old saying “beauty is pain” can be true, especially of her signature stilettos, “Absolutely they hurt. I’m not going to lie. But no pain, no gain, as they say. I don’t mind. I will suffer. I don’t wear heels everyday, but when I’m out, that’s how I feel confident.”

Being such a style icon, the 35-year-old started her own fashion line called “dvb” in 2006, after designing jeans for denim brand Rock and Republic. She has had much success with “dvb” and has expanded her line to include handbags and shoes. Even celebs have fallen in love with her line. It has catered to the likes of stars such as Drew Barrymore, Blake Lively and Paris Hilton.

The mother of three says she is getting back into denim with a spring jeans collection. “I’m such a perfectionist,” she tells Glamour, of taking a few seasons off from designing denim. “I’ve worked really hard [with my team] to get it right.”

This collection was focused on the silhouette of the jean. “Long, slim legs. Really good design. I’m not saying that you’ve got to be a stick to wear them. You can be all different shapes and sizes,” she explained.

Glamour’s March issue will be on newsstands Feb. 4, with a full interview from Victoria Beckham herself.
