Amy WinehouseAmy Winehouse was arrested and charged in Thames Valley, England Wednesday in connection to an assault that happened on Saturday. MTV reports that Winehouse turned herself into police accompanied by her lawyer and was arrested.

The British press report that Winehouse went to see Cinderella at a theatre where Winehouse was acting loud and obnoxious. Other people in the theatre report that Winehouse was yelling “he’s fucking behind you” and referring to the stepsisters as “Bitches.” The theatre manager confronted Winehouse about her behaviour, where she started to punch and kick him.

Winehouse has been released on bail and will appear in front of a judge January 20.
