ABBA Exhibit Coming to England
An exhibit dedicated to Swedish pop band ABBA is planned to open in London Jan. 27 at Earls Court, reports CBC.
ABBAWORLD will consist of 25 rooms of memorabilia, behind-the-scenes material and exclusive music. Visitors will get a chance to perform with 3-D holograms of the band members and incorporate themselves into an ABBA video or poster.
“On behalf of Agnetha, Bjorn, Benny and I, we are delighted to be part of ABBAWORLD and to have the opportunity to share our amazing experiences with our fans,” said band member Frid Lyngstad. “The interactive elements mean this is the first time we can actually take (fans) on the journey with us. London has a special place in all our hearts and we are looking forward to the world premiere of ABBAWORLD in January.”
Plans for a museum in Stockholm devoted to the group have been delayed due to renovations on the building where the museum is to be located.
After ABBAWORLD closes in London, the exhibit is expected to tour the world.
