Update: Tiger Woods Taken To Hospital After Car Accident
Tiger Woods, sometimes regarded as the greatest golfer of all time, was hurt in a car accident outside his home in Florida early this morning (November 27).
According to perezhilton.com, Woods pulled out of his driveway at about 2:25 a.m., when he hit the fire hydrant and subsequently ran into a tree in his neighbour’s property. This information was provided by the Florida Highway Patrol this afternoon.
After being transported to the Heatlh Central Hospital in Ococee, Woods was labeled as being in serious condition. Apparently the airbags in Wood’s Escalade did not activate, which, according to perezhilton.com, means the vehicle was under the speed of 33 mph.
Woods’ spokesman Glenn Grenspan said that the golfer was taken care of at the hospital, and released in god condition. According to the report prepared by the patrol, alcohol was not a factor in the accident, though the crash is still under investigation and the possibility of charges remain. Woods’ was the only person in the car at the time of the accident.
