Ok, The sex thing to be cleared up. There is nothing wrong with having sex scenes in a TV show, they can even spice it up. But i dont think they belong in SG. Its a Sci-Fi show and should stick more to the science!

Some of the best moments of SG1 and SGA were when we got to see some reli cool new technology or some reli advanced alien race, all that happens in this one is that people fly around bitching and complaing,

Basicly it doesnt live up to the what the SG franchies has been about, action science and adventure with a little drama thrown in. They are using the stargate name to lure people in and that has annoyed me more than anything else.

Finally, a Stargate series for grown-ups. The rest of you adolescents can go to bed early. Its not about the sexuality of the crew–which is dealt with in this series, and there’s nothing wrong with that–Its that the story lines keep twisting and turning every time you think you have it figured out. The show is relatively good, though I’m still very dissapointed. For gods sake it’s a team full of “kids” traveling around the galaxy, “Stargate Teenage Universe”. And the sex scenes which are present in every second episode doesn’t belong to the Stargate sci-fi, if it’s porn people want, let them watch porn sites. Im not fully able to sense that good old Stargate “feeling” which were present in Atlantis & SG-1.
This series can be good, if the producers just realize the flaws.

what is wrong with you people, have you not noticed the time slot on this show? Friday at 10pm, that Does Not indicate family viewing time, and for that fact you are basing this whole sex thing on what 2 minutes of footage, you don’t like it don’t watch it. As for the tag line, the only mission is survivial, if they didn’t take it slow and explain things you people would take to your blog boards bitching about the unrealistic quality of how fast they made a home for themselves on an empty ship that’s over a million years old and has no supplies.
You don’t like it Don’t watch it, personally I do, and I’m willing to stick with it and see what happens next.
But please, just stop bitching.

Kingpin. It is apparent you are one of those fans who think trashy sex scenes are drama and a great story line. I’m sure your not the only one. I’m talking about good clean family fun. You know the kind of show you can watch with your family and not be embarrassed to have your children to see. The kind of show that brings the family closer. I have watched and own every Movie and every season of both SG1 and SGA and will watch them many times over. But they can keep the SGU for the perverted of our society. And CCaver I’m with you all the way.

Apparently, SGU decided action should be limited to the bedroom. Oh, sorry, was that a broom closet? That was some real in-depth drama. (Pun intended) And the reason there are no corny (note spelling) lines is there are no characters with enough depth to deliver them. The only character with promise was the slimy politician, and he didn’t make it through the first episode. I found the tag line for the show interesting. The only mission is survival. The producers should take this to heart as I do not think the will survive. I like watching SG with my daughter, but she’s only 11 and since I would rate this NC-17, it is not going to happen.

JLERCH dude are u serious. for 11 years now stargate has been the same filled with action and corney ass lines i have been a fan since the damn movie. but i turned into a Huge BSG fan because of the drama and story line behind it and finally the Stargate franchise has learned of this. Its clear ur not a drama Fan and u probably rather see a movie with just action and funny lines that get old real fast. I am a huge fan of storylines and this show gives us something that no stargate has ever done and thank god for it. and as far as Ian goes the reason the “suits” as u call it started to change the shows it was cuz they were declining in veiwers. Stargate ended cuz it started to get boring and SGA was created to try and extend the storyline of the anceints. but just like SG1 it also couldnt keep the viewers into it. then came along BSG that blew up big time. Fans love it cuz of the in depth drama and action so sci-fi and mgm decided to end sga to they can focous on this show alone. If you dont like to follow a story then u guys are right for not watching this anymore, but for those who like more then the same shit over and over this is the show for u.

I found the show disapponting and mediocre, the fat jewish kid is just so irritating, the rest of the characters are not very charismatic or interesting, either. Too bad, the other two stargates were so good, till the suits started screwing with them, like firing tori higginson etc..

You’ve taken Stargate and made it smutty. As close to porn as possible and not be porn. Don’t let the children watch. After being a fan and owning all the Stargate seasons and movies I will no longer be watching. Hollywood Thinks sex is the answer to everything. Hope the show fails big time.
