MJJ did not "turn himself white." So, stop trying to pat yourself on the back as if having a melanoma deficiency is something to smile about. MJJ had vitiligo and did what most people who suffer from that cannot afford to do, which is to try to get an EVEN skin tone -- and not have to suffer through the visual disabilities that come along with that condition. For the record, who did MJJ want to raise his kids? His mother (a Black woman) and Diana Ross (a Black woman). If you didn't know, now you know. Does knowing the answer to that really make you think he wanted to be White? MJJ was Black, knew he was Black, and left the care of his kids to Black women. There you have it!

I watched this interview and I will agree with Joe Jackson as far as the slave masters beatings, prime example of abuse!!!.
---------------------------------------------------------------

What on God's earth does this have to do with him abusing his son ? MJ HIMSELF said that his father beat him with a belt and more than that , he spoke of terrible emotional abuse. The man made fun of his nose relentlessly. (Hmmmm....think that had any impact on young Michael ?)

This man is disgusting, and did not casre about his son at all. he came out aday or two after he dies, smiling and announcing his new record label. DISGUSTING!

it seems to me that HE/ Joe was the slave master to young Michael, based on MJs own words in interviews. Unfortunately MJ was a slave to drugs. The biggest pain in his life wass inflicted by this black man, his 'father' who he wanted to be NOTHING like - so much so that he turned himself white !

Poor MJ.

I watched this interview and I will agree with Joe Jackson as far as the slave masters beatings, prime example of abuse!!!. As black parents in the 60's switches, belts and paddles were a discplinary tool for us, shoot our parents did not play, and I can truly thank and respect them for staying on top of us, because our lives were in their hands, they made us understand how much they loved and cared for us we still managed to be spoiled too never wanted for anything. They kept us out of the streets, we respected our parents and the law, the whole neighborhood played a apart in keeping us safe and out of trouble. We even use to sleep with our doors unlock with no worries, we all looked out for each other, so Joe Jackson wasn't the only parent who spanked his children with belts, or switches. I met The Jackson 5, and their whole family in 1969 in Phoenix, Arizona at their relatives, and their grandparents home (I was 13 then, now 54). They were regular kids having fun, Micheal was very sweet and talkative, Janet was jumping rope with kids, Jackie, Tito and Jermaine were very friendly, Mrs. Jackson was so sweet, Latoya was funny, they were all normal showing no signs of a troubled or abused family. Im glad we were descipline like that, you never saw black children having tandrums or talking back to their parents like white childen (no offense but black parents would not tolerate that, you would be BEAT DOWN )so we knew better. THIS WAS THE BLACK WAY OF RAISING KIDS and lets not forget, going to church!! was a must!!! I can talk hours on blacks parents back then, very strong. In closing let me say Joe may have been a stronger disciplanarian (if you will) than most he had kids that had extraordinary talents and he had their best interest in heart I don't believe he actually beat them down, but I know (black parents) did use that method of switching and belts back in the day and some still do). Now that spanking children at home and schools have been banned, look what has happened, Children are killing their parents, and so many street gangs are on the rise!! Sure miss the 60's, I wish those days would come back again, As Stevie Wonder would put it, life was so much easier and fun!!
God Bless the Jackson Family!!!
True MJ fan for life!!
