Kelly Clarkson Among Susan Boyle’s Fans, Unlike Lily Allen
During a stop in Hong Kong to promote her latest album “All I Ever Wanted,” first “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson shared her thoughts on YouTube sensation and “Britain’s Got Talent” contestant Susan Boyle.
“I think it’s awesome,” Clarkson told The Associated Press. “I’m bawling whenever I hear her sing.”
But not everyone is praising 48-year-old Boyle. “Smile” singer Lily Allen doesn’t see why there’s so much hype surrounding the Scottish singer. Allen wrote, “Susan Boyle is so overrated,” on her Twitter account over the weekend.
Still, it’s safe to say Boyle has a huge following, including many celebrity fans. After finding out that Demi Moore was a Boyle fan, “Britain’s Got Talent” judge Amanda Holden jokingly offered Moore and her husband, Ashton Kutcher, a spot on Simon Cowell’s private plane to see Boyle’s next performance.
Yesterday Holden tweeted an update, “Message for Demi!! Please someone get this to her as I am still rubbish at twittering Simon says Yes!! But to first class tickets!!!”
