Kings of LeonKings of Leon have joined the lineup for the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, the network revealed Wednesday.

The band, which is currently in the middle of a North American arena tour, will perform “Use Somebody,” the most recent single from their album “Only By The Night.”

Only one other performer, Eminem, has been confirmed to perform at the show so far.

Hosted by “SNL”/Lonely Island star Andy Samberg, the awards will air live from the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal City, CA on May 31, beginning at 9 p.m. ET on MTV Canada.

Kings of Leon kicked off their tour on April 19 and will wrap up May 21 in San Francisco. Fans can also catch them this summer at several U.S. music festivals – including Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and Sasquatch – as well as the U.K.’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
