Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesGet ready for the return of Turtle Power in 2011.

That’s when a new live-action “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” movie is expected to hit theatre screens, according to Variety.

The fifth ‘Turtles’ feature will focus on the origins of the crime-fighting, sewer-dwelling quartet, whose debut in comic-book form in the mid-’80s has also spawned a line of toys, video games and several TV series.

The latest movie will be produced by Galen Walker (2007’s computer-animated “TMNT”) and Scott Mednick (”Superman Returns,” “10,000 BC”).

News of the big-screen revival coincides with the 25th anniversary of the characters’ first appearance in a May 1984 comic. As part of the festivities, the first “Turtles” film was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York Thursday, while the Empire State Building was lighted in “turtle green.”
