Next Top Model Take Two
Casting calls for the next America’s Next Top Model season last month took an unexpected frightening turn when multiple fights broke out while hundreds waited for an audition. But producers are holding another audition coming up in New York.
The auditions will take place April 11. Like the earlier call, producers are looking for women age 18-27, who are 5′7″ and under – and from diverse backgrounds. As a safety concern, new rules state that nobody is allowed to line up overnight or before 6 a.m. on the day of. Prospective models will also be given wristbands while waiting. Tyra Banks issued a statement after the chaos at the March 14 casting that resulted in two people being taken to the hospital. PEOPLE reports. “To all the Top Model hopefuls who were affected by the New York casting, we are doing everything we can to make sure that ALL the girls who weren’t seen, get an opportunity to audition,” Banks said.
