‘Now 30’ Beats ‘Hannah Montana’ Soundtrack

Hannah Montana“Now That’s What I Call Music! 30” beat “Hannah Montana: The Movie Soundtrack” by approximately 7,000 copies, selling 146,000 copies in total and leaving “Hannah Montana” at No. 2 with 139,000 copies sold, per Nielsen SoundScan stats.

Still, Miley Cyrus has something to celebrate. Her latest single “The Climb” recently reached No. 6 on the Hot 100, a new career high for the Disney star.

The “Twilight Soundtrack” landed the No. 3 spot, followed by singer-songwriter Keri Hilson who has previously penned tunes for Britney Spears and Usher.

This week there were 12 Top 20 debuts; a new record which includes Papa Roach’s “Metamorphosis” at No. 8, selling 44,000 copies, “Pray IV Reign” from rapper Jim Jones (43,000 at No. 9). Martina McBride topped off the Top 10 with “Shine,” which sold 41,000.

Kelly Clarkson’s “All I Ever Wanted” dropped to No. 5, followed by U2’s latest “No Line on the Horizon” and Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” at No. 7.
