Partnerships announced by Boxee
Boxee made a handful of announcements at their meetup in New York city last night.
Their website describes their services as “news, plugins, hacks and everything in between.”
They announced two partnerships on Tuesday, one with Pandora to monetize their audio ads, and another with RadioTime, letting users play play radio stations (100k worldwide).
Also announced, was the API that Pandora and RadioTime were built on will be used. An XUL-based framework (Mozilla) for the Boxee browser, enabling easy interaction with web-based videos. www.BoxeeHQ.com developed a PBS application, also available in their Boxee app repository.
