Kanye West Charged After Paparazzi Incident
Rapper Kanye West has been charged on Wednesday (March 18) with three misdemeanor charges following his alleged altercation with paparazzi at Los Angeles International Airport.
The 31-year old was charged with one count each of vandalism, battery and grand theft according to E! Online, after breaking a camera while walking through an LAX terminal on Sept. 11.
Don Crawley, the rapper’s business manager, is facing two counts each of the same charges.
On Thursday Sept. 11, the rapper and his manager were released from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division on a bail of $20,000 following their arrest on Thursday morning.
According to police at the time of the insident, West and his manager were waiting at the airport for a flight to Honolulu when they were greeted by a videographer and photographer, who began taking their photos. An altercation took place and the cameras for both paparazzi were damaged.
