Lily AllenLily Allen has won a major victory in her ongoing battle against the paparazzi.

Following an incident Thursday in which she was allegedly rear-ended by a photog in London, the British pop singer secured a court injunction banning further harassment from paparazzi photographers.

“My client has faced constant harassment over the last few months from the paparazzi,” Allen’s lawyer Mark Thomson said in a statement released on Friday. “As a result of this and various incidents of harassment that took place yesterday my client has now been forced to take legal action.

“In a court hearing that took place this afternoon, my client, Lily Allen, has resolved issues surrounding her constant harassment with two picture agencies and has also obtained from the High Court an injunction restraining further harassment of her by other paparazzi photographers. My client, Lily Allen, is delighted with the outcome of the hearing today.”

Thursday’s incident spawned photos of an ensuing confrontation in which Allen was reported to have punched, kicked and threw a water bottle at the offending photog. This led to speculation that possible legal action stemming from the confrontation could affect her upcoming North American tour.

The singer had her U.S. working visa revoked in 2007 after being questioned by officials at the Los Angeles airport over an earlier arrest for a similar incident involving a paparazzo.

However, a spokesperson for Allen said Friday that next month’s dates will “not be affected in any way.”

Allen, who is backing her second album, “It’s Not Me, It’s You,” will be in Toronto on April 22 for a sold-out show at Phoenix Concert Theatre.
