Michael Jackson’s Last Performances
Michael Jackson greeted screaming fans and supportive crowds when he took to the podium to address the media in London on Thursday, March, 5th and announced his alleged retirement and final performances.
Jackson, who has been on a downward spiral since being acquitted on child molestation charges has relatively kept to himself since the trials of 2005, yet the public has never lost interest in observing the troubled pop star’s private life and his loyal fans never left his side.
Jackson told the crowds that he promised to “play the songs my fans want to hear,” and proclaimed his respect and devotion to his fans by stating; “I love you, I really do from the bottom of my heart.”
He will take the stage and perform his final performances at London’s O2 Arena this summer and is slated to play a 10-show run at the venue that will kick off on July 8. It was unclear at press time whether the singer meant the shows will be his final appearances in London, or that he’s retiring from performing, mtvnews.com reports.
