Daft Punk To Score ‘Tron’ Sequel
Electronica duo Daft Punk will compose the score for “TR2N,” Disney’s sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic “Tron.”
Billboard confirms the French act has put together a new recording studio especially for the project.
The movie is currently in production in Vancouver and tentatively slated for a 2011 release.
The collaboration marks Daft Punk’s return to the studio following 2005’s “Human After All.” Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter then went on hiatus, before embarking on an extensive world tour in 2007.
They also appeared on the 2008 Grammy Awards with Kanye West, who sampled the duo’s 2001 track “Harder Better Faster Stronger” in his hit single “Stronger.”
