U2 pulled a Beatles-esque move with a rooftop gig in London Friday, wrapping up a day of promotions for the upcoming release of “No Line on the Horizon.”

The band took to the roof of BBC’s London office tower to play four songs: “Get On Your Boots,” “Magnificent,” “Vertigo” and “Beautiful Day.”

Bono ended “Vertigo” with a snippet of the Beatles’ “She Loves You,” perhaps a nod to the Brits’ 1969 rooftop performance in London. U2’s music video for the 1987 single “Where the Street Have No Names” also featured a rooftop performance by the Irish foursome.

Friday’s mini-concert, which started around 7 p.m. local time, was streamed online through various websites.

As previously reported, U2 will be the musical guest on all five nights of “The Late Show with David Letterman” next week to back the release of “No Line” on March 3.
