Jenna Elfman, best known as the “Dharma” of TV’s “Dharma and Greg,” has a new comedy project in the works.

The actress has signed on to star in the CBS pilot “Accidentally on Purpose,” which follows the aftermath of a fling between a San Francisco movie critic (Elfman) and a younger man that results in an “accidental” pregnancy.

Elfman herself became a new mom in 2007.

The actress, who won a Golden Globe for her work on “Dharma and Greg,” followed up the series’ end in 2002 by starring in the short-lived CBS sitcom “Courting Alex.”

She has also made guest appearances on “Brothers and Sisters” and “My Name is Earl,” and will next appear on the big screen in the indie comedy “Love Hurts.”
