Chris Brown Single On ‘Facebook’
Following four days of silence, Chris Brown issued his first statement in regards to punching out girlfriend Rihanna and allegedly threatening to kill her. Brown reverted to technology in order to get his opinion across about the whole incident. According to the New York Post, Brown posted an update on his private Facebook page reading: “You’ll begin to see her true colors. Believe it!” Brown also confirmed his split from the Barbadian ‘bad girl’ online by changing his relationship status to ‘single’.
News of Brown’s assault on Rihanna broke on the night of the 51st Grammy Awards Show. They were both scheduled to perform at the awards night, and didn’t make an appearance, due to the violent confrontation. Brown allegedly beat Rihanna outside their rented vehicle in front of witnesses, resulting in several cuts, bruises and abrasions on the R&B singer’s face. Rihanna has yet to release an official statement to the press, but it is reported that she will be visiting her home in Barbados for some time to reflect and think with family nearby.
