The Fray Tops Bruce Springsteen
Selling 179,000 copies for the week ended Sunday, The Fray topped the Billboard album chart, taking the No. 1 spot from Bruce Springsteen who sold 102,000 copies of his latest album “Working on a Dream,” per Nielsen SoundScan.
Dierks Bentley landed the No. 3 spot with “Feel That Fire,” which sold 71,000 and managed to top the Country Albums chart, taking away Taylor Swift’s three-month rule. Swift now holds the No. 4 spot on Billboard with her album “Fearless.”
Rockers Robert Plant and Alison Krauss are expected to top the charts next week after their leading Grammy win, including Album of the Year, on Sunday.
Other album-sale winners include Beyoncé, who holds the No. 5 spot with “I am…Sasha Fierce,” “Dark Horse” by Nickelback which landed the No. 6 spot followed by Kidz Bop with their latest album “Kidz Bop 15.”
The top ten charts finish with Jamie Foxx’s “Intuition” at No. 8, “808s & Heartbreak” by Kanye West at No. 9, followed by Keyshia Cole’s “A Different Me”.
